Abstract
A fundamental assumption of link signature based security mechanism is providing secured transmitter and receiver. This is happening on physical layer while sending packets. When the security algorithm is used and the attack is happened on transmission. However, it has been observed in certain circumstances, this assumption is invalid. The packet sniffing attack is identified and to demonstrate the potential vulnerability of link signature based security mechanism. To countermeasure against PS attack, this paper proposes a technique, called Wired Equivalent Privacy and Advanced Encryption Standard, by cryptographic protection in physical layer security. The new proposed algorithms are very effective and secured in wireless authentication.
