Abstract
In this era of technology, satellite images are used in many fields for research (quality factors in images comes from its resolution) and in many applications such as astronomy, geographical information systems, geosciences studies etc and enhancement of these images is an important process. In this research work, transform technique is used for image enhancement. The edges of an image can be improved by using an effective transform technique and the resolution can be improved by using interpolation technique. The combination of transform technique and interpolation method helps to produce an overall enhanced image. Nowadays, a new satellite image enhancement technique is based on the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) which has better PSNR result compare to other. There is Standard Compression technique known as JPEG Compression which has great performance on large size image dataset. In this research work South Gujarat and Middle Gujarat dataset are used.
