Study on Geopolymer Concrete: A Review

Abstract
Today concrete is extensively used for construction works. It is used just as the use of water, so the demand for cement is increasing day by day, thus contributing to world’s carbon. Five to eight percent of the total emission of CO2 is from cement industry. So to avoid this greenhouse effect geopolymer concrete is a substitute for the conventional concrete and it reduces 80% of the CO2 gas emission. Geopolymer concrete with fly ash is being studied extensively and it shows a greener alternative to ordinary Portland cement concrete
